IDB Group Orientation Workshop in Kuwait

THIQAH Participation in the Knowledge & Innovation Fair
and Forum (KIFF) at IDB Headquarters, Jeddah - KSA
(15 - 16 February 2016)
A high level delegation led by H.E. the Presi-
dent of IDB Group have participated in this
workshop which was co-organized by THIQAH.
The main objective of the workshop is to in-
troduce and present the IDB Group activities
and funding program which are offered to local
authorities in public and private sectors. The
event discussed several issues which include
the following:
1. Programs which could help to improve the
enabling environment to raise the private sec-
tor growth rate.
2. Knowledge and experience exchange be-
tween Kuwait and other IDB member countries.
It is noteworthy to mention that a number of
side business meetings were conducted during
the workshop between IDB Group representa-
tives and the concerned authorities in Kuwait.
The KIFF event provided an opportunity to the
IDB Group staff to showcase the knowledge
produced by different departments. It was an
excellent opportunity to share and exchange
knowledge between IDBG staff and external
guests. In addition, the IDBG’s staff contribution
to knowledge will be recognized and the IDBG
achievements in knowledge dissemination will
be highlighted.
During the Fair, THIQAH team have communi-
cated the following:

Showcasing THIQAH’s activities and
products
•
Highlighting the available facilities and
services at THIQAH Head office
•
Promoting THIQAH’s investment conferences
and business forums in member countries
•
Collecting business opportunities from
potential investors/participants
