Islamic Development Bank Group Business Forum
(THIQAH) at the Head Office of Indonesia Investment Co-
ordinating Board (BKPM), as it is aligned with our focus
and efforts to attract more investment from IDB Group’s
56 member countries and accordingly boost our eco-
nomic growth. Fostering a stronger strategic partnership
with business organizations of countries who are mem-
bers of IDB Group is one of our objectives,”

Basri, Chairman of BKPM, said during the signing of
MOU between IDB and BKPM.
“We are delighted when the Indonesia Investment Coor-
dinating Board [BKPM] supported our proposal to open
our representative office here, the first such office out-
side Saudi Arabia. This becomes a remark of a stronger
strategic partnership of the Indonesian Government and
the Islamic Development Bank Group, and this is an ac-
tion to foster stronger business relationships with private
sectors and capitalize on the availability of promising in-
vestment opportunities in Indonesia,”
Mr. Khaled Al-Aboodi, CEO of ICD, said, on behalf of
IDB Group.
“IDB Group, through ICD, has been active in Indonesia
with completion of various business deals between IDB
Group and counterparts in Indonesia. This has been our
other active action, in which THIQAH will be holding an
active role in promoting Indonesia to other countries in-
cluding cross-border investments among IDB Group’s
56 member countries,”
Khaled Al-Aboodi, CEO of ICD, added.
THIQAH started its operation effectively on 17 Sep-
tember 2012 and managed by an Indonesian citizen
reporting to THIQAH’s Head Office in Jeddah, Saudi
Arabia. THIQAH’s mission is to establish strategic
partnerships with the leaders of the private sector in
order to capitalize on their expertise and know-how
on one hand, and to synergize with IDB Group en-
tities on the other. THIQAH is spear heading efforts
to maximize cross-border investments among IDB
Group member countries to be supported by IDB
Group’s financial products and services.
