Opening of a Representative Office In
BKPM, Jakarta For THIQAH
As a remark of strengthening partner-
ship between the Indonesian Govern-
ment and the Islamic Development
Bank (IDB) Group and a strategic ac-
tion to foster business relationships of private sec-
tors among IDB member countries, IDB Group have
opened its first representative office for its Business
Forum (THIQAH) outside Saudi Arabia, in Jakarta, In-
donesia. THIQAH will be leveraging on IDB Group’s
resources and holding an active role in promoting In-
donesia as a favorite investment destination to the
IDB Group’s 56 member countries.
Established at the office of Indonesia Investment Co-
ordinating Board [BKPM], the representative office
is opened which indicates the strong support of the
Indonesian government to show case the availability
of tremendous investment opportunities in Indonesia
to the IDB Group member countries. A Memorandum
of Understanding is signed between BKPM and the
IDB Group, which is represented by Mr. Chatib Basri,
Chairman of BKPM and Mr. Khaled Al-Aboodi, CEO
of Islamic Corporation for the Development of the
Private Sector (ICD), on behalf of IDB Group.
