Over
the last few years, the IDB Group has
invited eminent leaders and visionaries to help
it develop "the IDB Group's 1440H vision”.
The vision mandated the institutions of the IDB
Group to, provide collectively the main drivers
for the economies of member countries with
fundamental enablers. To underscore the
importance of the role of the private sector in
developing and sustaining the development of
the IDB Group’s member countries as articulated
in the IDB Group's vision 1440H, the IDB Group
has established the Business Forum “THIQAH”
to act as enabler and play facilitation and catalyst
roles. THIQAH is intended to be the main window
that connects the IDB Group’s institutions to
the private sector, where the private sector
institutions can receive IDB Group’s financial
products and services as a comprehensive
solutions tailored to its investments need.
The Islamic Development Bank Group,
which comprises the Islamic Corporation for
the Development of the Private Sector, the
International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation,
the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of
Investment and Export Credit, and the Islamic
Research and Training Institute, hopes to improve
sustainable development indicators in member
countries whose private sector is a key factor
that complements the role of governments and
helps lighten their development burden, thereby
allowing them to carry out their prime missions.
Through the Business Forum “THIQAH”, the
Islamic Development Bank Group is seeking to
reinforce the effectiveness and success of the
partnerships that have been forged between the
Group and pioneers in its member countries’
business sectors. For this reason, the Forum’s
head office has been suitably equipped to be
able to speed up the creation of projects and the
transfer of expertise when implementing them.
The office has been equipped with the very latest
audio-visual communication systems which will
be of great assistance when holding overseas
meetings and events, allowing business
partners to easily and efficiently communicate.
In addition, it will be a business platform for
displaying successful models and investment
opportunities available in all member countries.
To fullfil IDB Group’s 1440H vision, and to foster
its catalyst role, I invite the business sectors
from our member countries to effectively
communicate with the Forum, take advantage
of the services offered and enrich it with their
expertise, successful projects and, above all,
their own suggestions and views.
May Allah grant us success in our endeavours.

President of the Islamic Development Bank Group
